Dr. Toby Tyler Watson,
Psy.D.
Dr. Watson accepted the position of
Executive and Clinical Director of Associated
Psychological Health Services in 2005.
He immediately began work at adding a 501-c
non profit "therapy fund" (Recovery of
Emotionally Abused Children-R.E.A.Ch.),
which pays for children to attend therapy at
any local treatment agency. Dr. Watson is a graduate of the
University of Wisconsin, holds a Master’s
Degree from the California School of
Professional Psychology-Fresno and a
Doctorate in Clinical Depth/Dynamic
Psychology (2002) from Alliant University.
He was further trained at San Joaquin
Psychotherapy Center in Clovis-Fresno, CA,
now called Sequoia Psychotherapy Center. Dr.
Watson is the International Executive Director of the
International Center for the Study of
Psychiatry and Psychology (www.icsppOnline.org) and enjoys
lecturing and educating. He has presented at
and is a member of the International Society
for the Psychological Treatment of
Schizophrenia and other psychosis
(www.ISPS.org), and is a member of the Alliance
for Human Research Protection (www.AHRP.com).
Dr. Watson specializes in
integrating Evidence Based Practices with
his strong Psychodynamic and Analytic
orientation, utilizing individual, group,
family and couples psychotherapy. He has a
special interest in the effects of
Medication on Psychotherapy, Dream analysis,
Political and Social Implications upon psychology and the Human
Attachment Process as it relates to
spirituality. He has testified numerous
times as an Expert
Witness (both for the State of WI as well as
for private parties) in the field of outcome research, as
it specifically relates to treatment options
(e.g. psychotropic medication and biological
model of treatment versus psychosocial
psychological models of treatment), and he
has performed numerous psychological
evaluations.
Dr. Watson also is a continuing education
facilitator for both psychologists (C.E.) and attorneys (L.C.E.). He is available for

Psychologist, WI-2563-057, National Register
of Health Care Providers, 2006, and is in
compliance with all Wisconsin Mental Health

| Dr. Karl F.
Riem, Ed.D.- Founder, Continuing Educational Consultant
Karl F. Riem, Ed.D., CADC-III, International
Certification in AODA (ICRC, #616). After
earning his doctorate at Marquette
University, and completing general
psychology internships, he completed
post-doctoral work at Harvard University,
where he trained with T. Berry Brazelton,
M.D. and Dr. Burton White, and was Certified
by the Harvard-Lilly program regarding
infants and toddlers. For over a dozen years
he was Chief Psychologist and Co-Director
for the Child Development Center, Children's
Hospital of Wisconsin. He also founded and
developed the pediatric-psychology program
at the Medical College of Wisconsin were he
maintained faculty appointments in
Pediatrics, Neurology, and the Division of
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He was on
the staff of Children's Hospital, the
Medical College of Wisconsin, and Milwaukee
Psychiatric Hospital. Dr. Riem served as an
infant-toddler specialist for the Sheboygan
County Unified Board for many years and was
involved in the development of many
Sheboygan infant/early child and parenting
programs, including city/county health
dept., RCS, Mental Health Center, etc. He
served as a consultant to numerous government
and national child-family resource programs
and has published numerous related
professional and research articles.
Doctor Riem founded Associated Psychological
Health Services in 1985, and in 2005, he retired
from seeing patients; however, Dr. Riem
continues to provide in-service training and
consultation at APHS. |

Veronica Hilke, M.A.
Veronica is a master's level higher
education therapist who
currently working
towards her Doctorate in Psychology. She is a graduate
of Lakeland College and has been focusing
upon providing individual educational
counseling to adults and children. She
is supervised by Dr. Watson.

Ryan Groh, M.A. Ryan
Groh is a Master level therapist, and has
been practicing at APHS for approximately
three years. He works with a variety
of individuals, families and couples,
ranging in age from children to adults.
He provides differing psychological
approaches and treatment based upon each
person's unique personality and experiences,
drawing from a strong integrated humanistic,
Rogerian, psychoanalytic and cognitive
behavioral background. Ryan indicated
he finds Dream Work and play therapy
specifically quite beneficial. Ryan is
supervised by Dr. Watson.
Amanda Schmitt, M.A.
Amanda holds a Master's degree in Clinical
Counseling from Marquett
University-Milwaukee, WI, and is completing
her clinical training at APHS. She
co-leads several groups and sees both
individuals and families. Amanda is
supervised by Dr. Watson
Laura Kocmoud (Kutz), LCSW
Laura holds a Master's degree in Clinical
Social Work (1999) from the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee, is licensed in WI, and
has been practicing psychotherapy and
counseling for over a decade. She is
She meets with individuals, families and
couples on a limited time basis.
