This was originally funded by the Church of Scientology, and I am in no way affiliated with either CCHR or the Church of Scientology. I have yet to see any CCHR publications, videos or other material that has not been well documented and supported by peer review data. It is a shame CCHR is so discredited because of their past (or current) affiliation with Scientology. I have never been trained, practiced, visited or had any formal or informal contact with the Church of Scientology. It is sad I must make such a statement, but within days of acknowledging their contribution to the field of psychiatry and psychology I have had people emailing me asking me questions about this. I hope this clarifies that my professional work is based upon professional peer reviewed research and ethical standards of care.
