CCHRInt- Nonprofit mental health watchdog group that is responsible for over 150 laws protecting people from harmful psychological and psychiatric practices.  This was originally funded by the Church of Scientology, and I am in no way affiliated with either CCHR or the Church of Scientology.  I have yet to see any CCHR publications, videos or other material that has not been well documented and supported by peer review data.  It is a shame CCHR is so discredited because of their past (or current) affiliation with Scientology.  I have never been trained, practiced, visited or had any formal or informal contact with the Church of Scientology.  It is sad I must make such a statement, but within days of acknowledging their contribution to the field of psychiatry and psychology I have had people emailing me asking me questions about this.  I hope this clarifies that my professional work is based upon professional peer reviewed research and ethical standards of care.

Dante’s Cure offers a story of courage and hope. It reveals how madness is

inherent to the human condition and therefore ought to be treated as such. To

restore patients’ trust in their power to recover, rather than robbing them of

their agency in the name of medical knowledge, is the true moral of this

remarkable journey out of madness.
